We are an independent family run business, established in Butley, Prestbury near Macclesfield, by Sidney Jackson in 1920.
Initially, Sidney Jackson sold tractors to the local farming community and carried out mechanical repairs and servicing on all manner of cars, tractors and commercial vehicles.
In 1955, the company was appointed as a Ford Retail Dealership, selling new Ford cars direct to the public and carrying out servicing, not only on Ford cars, but all makes and models.
Over the decades the business has thrived and ownership has stayed within the family, with Sidney's son, Jimmy Jackson, taking over the reins and steering the company into the 21st century. Sadly, Jimmy passed away in 2014 and Sidney Jackson & Son Ltd has been headed by Jimmy's Son (Sidney’s grandson), Tim Jackson.
Sidney Jackson & Son Ltd are a Ford Authorised Service Centre and MOT Testing Station with a reputation for outstanding customer service.
We can offer authorised Ford Services, using genuine Ford parts and undertake Ford warranty work, as well as MOT tests and servicing all other makes of vehicle.
With over 105 years in the motor trade, and 65+ of those years as a Ford Retail Dealer, we have the experience and expertise to deliver the very best servicing, repairs and parts for your Ford vehicle and any other make and model.

Our Tyre Department provides a comprehensive supply and fitting service using major, mid-range or budget brands as requested. We also offer tyre repairs, tracking / wheel aligment, balancing, valve replacements and also advice on and fitment of winter or cross climate tyres.
Parts are also available from us too. We can source most parts that you may need and have them ready for your collection – often on the same day.
With a fleet of courtesy cars, a Collect and Deliver service and waiting appointments available, Sidney Jackson & Son Ltd can accommodate and work around your busy schedule.
