Meet the Team
Jimmy's father opened the Sidney Jackson & Son business in 1920 selling and maintaining tractors. Jimmy then realised that to move with the times they needed to sell cars. After speaking to his father, only one brand came to mind and that was Ford! So, in the summer of 1955 Sidney Jackson & Son Ltd was rebranded as a Ford Retail Dealer. Jimmy sadly passed away in April 2014 at the age of 85. However, his drive, ethics and customer service values are still the main focus of the company today and we know he would be exceptionally proud that his son Tim, and now Grandson George, are part of the business.
Timothy (Tim) is the Managing Director for Sidney Jackson & Son and worked alongside his father since he left school. Tim has taken over from his Father, Jimmy, as the face of the company. Tim makes sure that your car is having the correct service and repair completed while it’s in our workshop. Tim also ensures that your New or Used car is prepared to the very highest standard! He is the last person to touch any new or used vehicle before it leaves the dealership with its new owner!

Liam’s main role is the New and Used car Sales Manager and since Jimmy’s passing he has taken the added role of General Manager of the dealership, overseeing the overall day to day running of the car sales team and vehicle workshops. Working closely with our owner Mrs Jackson, he strives to ensure that Tim and the rest of the staff can offer the best experience to our customers from start to finish. Liam started in the motor industry in early 2001 and joined Sidney Jackson's in 2008. Coming from a Ford owned dealer group, he has a wealth of experience, managing dealerships of all shapes and sizes, including other manufacturing brands in the industry. Liam ensures that our new and used car choice is always of the highest quality and that our technicians consistently perform to the highest standards!

Steve originally joined our sales team in 2009. He entered the industry back in 1993 and has gained experience as a Sales Executive, Finance Manager, Sales Manager and a Motability Specialist. Steve has moved his focus towards book keeping & accountancy, during which time we supported his passion and helped him become our book keeper. Steve has progressed his knowledge and experience so much that he now looks after our accounts full time! Steve also supports Tim within the workshop and Liam in the company operations.
